The Landscaper’s Buddy is a heavy-duty, well engineered, transport cart designed to make lifting and hauling large, heavy, and awkward loads almost effortless. Originally developed to move large trees into hard-to-reach areas, The Buddy has evolved into a versatile tool for moving loads of many types. It is used by landscaping professionals, nurseries, garden centers, municipalities, golf courses, botanical gardens, universities, and general contractors.

With a 2,100-lb load capacity, compact 35-inch width, and 360° handling, The Buddy is built to help crews move substantial loads through areas where larger equipment may be difficult or impractical to use. It really does save labour and effort.

What Is The Buddy?

It is a two-piece, lever-based cart for loads of many types. The lever handle connects to the carriage and when joined, you pull down on the handle, to easily lift the load. The handle then locks with the carriage so that any effort to balance the load is eliminated.

The idea came from having to move large trees on typically soft

ground and in hard-to-reach areas. The original concept was refined into a simpler, more versatile design that could handle many more load types.

Today, The Buddy provides a practical alternative for many jobs that traditionally require multiple workers or larger pieces of equipment.

The Landscaper’s Buddy is built to handle a wide variety of heavy and awkward loads, making it a versatile solution for professionals across landscaping and other industries.

From B&B trees and shrubs, potted plants, boulders, pavers, bricks, sod, dirt, gravel, stone, logs, and lumber to hardscape materials, statuary, ceramic and clay pots, bagged materials, liquids, cement, and hardscape waste, The Buddy helps make transporting difficult loads easier.

With optional accessories like the Heavy-Duty Basin and Wire Deck, you can expand its capabilities even further and adapt The Buddy to a wide range of jobs and applications.

How The Buddy Works

1. POSITION

Position the cradle behind the tree or heavy load you need to move.

2. LIFT & LOCK

Connect the handle to the cradle and pull the handle down. This lifts the load and locks it into position.

3. PUSH OR PULL

Once the load is secured, push or pull The Buddy to transport it where it needs to go.

The result is a straightforward way to lift and haul heavy loads without the complexity of larger machinery.

At 35 inches wide, The Buddy is designed to fit through most gates. Its 360° handling also allows crews to maneuver the cart in tight spaces and around challenging job sites with absolutely no site

eliminate any turf damage, making The Buddy particularly useful when working around established landscapes.
